Jo Ann M. Fuhrman, 73, Passed away on June 1, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family and will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her. Jo Ann was born in Bath Ohio, on Thanksgiving day, 1939, and graduated from Revere High in 1957. She was employed in the kitchen at CYO Camp Christopher in Bath and later was a nurses aide at Mount Augustine, caring for the Sisters of Charity. She had her own business, Highland Square Kleen Sweep, and presently with her husband Tom, managed Highland Square Rentals Apartments. Jo Ann was involved with her children's school and tutored children with the Akron-Summit Tutorial Program. She loved drawing and painting pictures, especially of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. She loved animals, having many cats and loved feeding the ducks and geese at Rose Hill Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents,Christine Duncan Campbell Clark and James Delbert Clark. She was survived by her loving husband and partner, of 55 years, Thomas L., son, Christian; daughters, Rebecca (Anthony) Kaplan, Victoria (Jeff) Boravitz, and Monica ( special friend, Blaine Jones); and grandson, James (Audrey) Miller; sister, Marilyn Gabbert; and brother, William Campbell.
The memorial service will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 6:00 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Marshall Brandon, of Christ Community Chapel, Highland Square Campus officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 5, from 4 to 6 p.m.
In keeping with Jo Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place.
