Jody Marie (Rodriguez) Oplinger, 43, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 unexpectedly. She was born on September 12, 1967, in Sarasota Florida, and resided most of her life in the Akron area. Jody was a warm, fun loving, and full of life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Oplinger; sisters, Deborah Kauffman and Yvonne Rodriquez Montalvo. She left behind her best friend and the joy of her life Shaunna Marie Barton, who will forever miss her Mother. She is also survived by sister, Denise (Michael) Jendrisak of Akron; brothers, Bud (Sonja) Miller of Brimfield, Tim (Jody) Vance of Alliance, John L. Oplinger of Akron, and Craig (Renee, Katrina) Oplinger of Quaker City; along with special Aunt Sue Oplinger of Lewisville, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends, including special friends, Mickey Hayden and Ashley Frum. Love is also sent to Buck and Nancy Barton and family.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Randy Baker officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
