Joell S. Petersen, 61, passed away May 25, 2011. She was born in Akron to the late Kai and Evelyn Petersen and was a lifelong resident. She worked for Coleman Data Services (formerly Sage Computer Services), was a renowned bargain shopper and was a Sudoku wiz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her close friend, Jeanette Lawrence. She is survived by her son, Josh (Jamie Minne); Jazmyn Dunbebin; dear friends, Jean Currey and Carol Trent; dog, Bandit; and many other loving friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087.
