John "Pops" Wierzbicki

August 13, 1943 — December 24, 2024

John S. “Pops” Wierzbicki, 81, passed away December 24, 2024. He was born in Akron to the late Stan and Helen Wierzbicki and was a Hoban High School graduate. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired from Saint-Gobain with over 30 years of service.

He passed at peace, surrounded by family and excited to be reunited with his wife. He never lost his ornery spirit, charm, and love for teasing others.

He lived a full life filled with sports, fishing, and spending time with family. He was always the life of the party and could beat anyone in a game of Euchre.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; brother, Ken; and sister, Caryn. He is survived by his sons, Stan and Charles (Eva), and grandchildren, Tiffany, Kelli, Tyler, Trevor, Adison, Johnathon, Christian and Nicholas.
