Judith I. McCune, 69, passed away September 21, 2012, and was reunited with her husband in Heaven. She was born in Akron, to the late Benjamin and Lucille (Ress), and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. McCune cherished the over 40 years that she was the music director and organist at Wedgewood Methodist Church, and was very active with many committees and duties at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ronald. She is survived by children, Dianna Smoot and John Mercer; David and Denise McCune, Debra and Tony Myers, Danielle and Mike Witwer; grandchildren, Amanda Smoot, Bethany and Angela Witwer, Nicole Sennett, Brandon, Justin, and Jenna Myers; Step Father, Wilbur Ress; and all her special friends and church family.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Wedgewood United Methodist Church, 2350 Wedgewood Drive, Akron Ohio, with Rev. Karen Hartley and Rev. Don Booth officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St., on Monday, September 24, from 4 to 8 p.m.
