Kevin E. Brown, 54, passed away December 20, 2017. He was born in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Earl and Elizabeth (Schadle) Brown and was a lifelong Akron resident.
Kevin was an East High School alum and graduated with honors from the University of Akron with a Bachelors degree in English, and recently earned a Masters and Doctorate in Public Administration. He worked for Summit County Childrens Services for over 20 years and loved to travel (especially to Canada), photography, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sisters, Pat (Jerry) Morrow and Lorraine (John) Mitchell; his partner of 16 years, Jim Webster; nephews, Eric Morrow and Matt Mitchell; 5 great-nieces and one great-nephew; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Chapel Hill Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 1160 Howe Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 with Rev. Adam Harper officiating. Calling hours will be at the church for two hours prior to the service, from 4 – 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Summit County Childrens Services general donation fund, 264 S. Arlington St., Akron, OH 44306.
