Linda D. Mitchell Lampkin Ingram, who was born in Akron on May 28, 1948, passed away January 29, 2012. She had worked as a cook for many years at The Bun and later worked in nursing, helping take care of others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lampkin; parents, John and Mildred Mitchell; brother, Glenn Mitchell; and sisters, Edna Blackert and June Turner. She is survived by her brothers, Harry Mitchell, Kenny Mitchell, of MO, Bill Mitchell, of FL, John (Pat) Mitchell and Ted (Dolly) Mitchell, of FL; special nieces, Marcia Barkman, Lisa Barkman (Rex) and Connie Baxter; nephews, Shaun and David Barkman, Clarence Blackert and Bill (Ann) Blackert; great-nephews, Jensen and Jared Barkman, Matt and Steven; and dear friends Susan Stair and Scottie.
We are all your children and love you very much, and we will miss you.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Isaac Kim officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m.
