Lorraine A. Elias, 92, passed away April 28, 2015. She was born in Capitol Heights, MD to the late Harvey and Helen (Moreland) Stickles and was an Akron resident for most of her life where she was an East High School graduate.
Lorraine was an active member of The Chapel and was also a member of the Talbot Avenue Old Hens Gossip Club. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening and bird-watching, and above all else, was dedicated to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and brother, Earl Stickles. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Jack) Hartman, Barbara (Michael) Moneypenny and Sharon (Jud) Crosby; grandchildren, Ashley (Mike) Gilliland, Justin and Sabrina (Chris) Moneypenny-Dale; sister-in-law, Jean Stickles; and dear friends, Marge Schuck and Naomi Galloway.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior the service, from 10 – 11 a.m.
