Louise Root, 95, passed away April 13, 2013 at St. Mary Alzheimer’s Center. Born in East Liverpool OH, to the late James and Margaret (Broadbent) Payton, she lived most of her life in the Akron area.
She worked at Acme #8 in Fairlawn as the head cashier for many years.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Byron. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Matteo; step-son, Richard Root; many nieces and nephews; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St. Akron, OH, with Rev. Ron Shultz officiating. Private interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for ONE HOUR prior to the service from 4 – 5 p.m.
