Marina Massarelli

Marina N. “Mimi” Massarelli, 22, passed away December 27, 2021. She was born in Akron and raised in Ellet, where she attended Ellet High School and excelled in many sports as a youth. She was a cheerleader and played softball, volleyball, soccer and basketball. She will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Massarelli, she is survived by her mother, Kara Zarle; father, Chad Massarelli; grandparents, Sharon Stohr, Gregory Stohr and Becky Massarelli; siblings, Dominic Massarelli, Derek Massarelli, Garrett Massarelli, Jetta Zarle, Jeremiah Zarle, and Brittany Wilson; step-father, Brian Zarle; nieces, Kalynn, Kylie and Kenadie; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 3, 2021 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. Private family burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
