Marlin R. Wolford, 80, passed away May 1, 2015. Born in Akron, he was a lifelong resident and was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Marlin graduated from Central High School and retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. with 37 years of service.
Preceded in death by parents, Henry Beck Wolford and Evelyn (Brake) Shortle, and sister, Marlene Wolford, he is survived by cousins, Pat (Lee) Windhorst, Carol (Don) Wright, Roseannalee, and Wayne (Kathy) Utchell, as well as many friends from McDonald’s.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St., where friends may call for ONE HOUR prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Private interment later at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
