Mary Jude (Conrad) Carney

November 13, 1928 — February 24, 2015

Mary “Judy” Carney, 86, passed away February 24, 2015. She was born in Akron on November, 13, 1928 to Joseph and Nora (Hewig) Conrad, and was a former head teller at First National Bank. Judy founded Spirit of the Dove Ministries and authored Intimacies from the Holy Spirit. She was truly a pastor, teacher and evangelist.

Preceded in death by spouses, Frank Lucas and Jay Carney; son, James Garrett; brother, Donald Conrad; and sister, Leona Malbeouf, Judy will be sadly missed by sons, Thomas (Kyong) Lindner and Andy Lucas; grandchildren, Joe, Rob, Cato, Mindy, Jamie, Mike, Heather and Frank; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Matt Stull officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 12 noon - 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations be made in Judy’s name to the ministry of your choice.
