Mary Beth Dobo, 68, went home to the Lord on April 30, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Dobo; her son, David; her beloved dog, Toby; as well as many family and friends who will miss her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Bernard Estadt and her brother, Dick.
A lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio, Mary Beth attended St. Vincent grade school and graduated from St. Vincent High School, Class of 1963. In her youth, she was a camp counselor locally at Camp Christopher and in Maine, where she spent several summers teaching horseback riding and other activities at an all-girls camp. Her time as a counselor gave her the memories of a lifetime. Mary Beth worked for the Xerox Corporation for a time before devoting her life to being a full-time spouse and mother.
Mary Beth was a devout Roman Catholic and a lifetime parishioner at St. Vincent Church in Akron. She and Joseph were married on February 7, 1970 and thus began the happiest journey of a lifetime for them both. Their son, David, followed and together, all three lived a happy, loving life together, punctuated by a series of family dogs who have been and remain members of the family.
Mary Beth will be missed. Remember her for the beautiful person she was and the good life she lived. “We love you Babe.”
