Mary J. Plusquellic, 63, passed away July 19, 2013. She was born in Akron to the late Michael and Helen (Almasie) Goffee, was a 1968 graduate of Kenmore High School and earned an Associate Degree in counseling from the University of Akron.
She had worked at Clarkins, in the Summit County Auditors Office and as a counselor for Oriana House. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mary leaves family and friends with fond memories of her playing cards or bingo, bowling, watching the Browns and Indians or working in her yard. She loved her family and friends, especially her 6 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her step-father, Earl Nickerson and brother, Michael Goffee. She is survived by her children, Dave (Kelly) and Michelle (Mike) Zupancic; grandchildren, Abby, Ally, Adam, Anna, Evan and Addy; brothers, Ken (Sharon) Goffee and Ron Goffee; and other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2128 16th St. SW, Akron, OH 44314 with Rev. Michael B. Smith officiating. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
