Mary Alice Hackett, 76, passed away March 3, 2026. She was born in Akron to the late Lawrence and Frances (Weigand) Pierce and was a 1967 Mogadore High School graduate. Mary was a follower of Jesus Christ and worked as a payroll manager at ACME and also worked at Lowe’s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; son, Jimmy Darrough; and brothers, William, Charles, Richard and Ralph. She is survived by her sisters, Dianne (Mac) McCreery, Jane (Frank) Admonius, Grace (Budd) Barger, and Theresa Feist; and sisters-in-law, Beverly and Sandy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
