Mary M. Calgos, 84, passed away February 11, 2012. A lifelong Akron resident, she was a graduate of East High School and attended cosmetology school. She worked at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Goodyear Aerospace and later, retired from General Tire with 23 years of service. She was also a long-time member of Wedgewood United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas and sister, Eloise, she is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Uhl; sons, David and Michael; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; and sisters, Ethel Mae Bauch and Virginia (Wayne) Kurlinski.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service was held in her memory.
