Maude "Kelly" F. (Fortner) Boera

July 10, 1924 — February 16, 2012

Maude F. “Kelly” Boera, 87, passed away February 16, 2012. She was born in Raven, VA to the late Charles and Vicie (Elkins) Fortner and had been an Ohio resident since 1942. She worked as a manager at Brown Derby for 31 years, was a member of the Akron Blind Center and of the Akron First Assembly of God. She was a very loving and caring person who had many, many friends. We will miss you mom.

Preceded in death by her grandson, David Glinseck, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Barbara (Ben) Basone, Sharon Mytrosevich, Jennifer (Frank) Mazzulo and Suzanne (Bill) Panzarella; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of The Briarwood for their tender and loving care of our mother for the last 4 years.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Kent Jarvis officiating. Entombment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 19, from 1 – 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Akron First Assembly of God, 1175 W. Market St., The Briarwood, 3700 Englewood Dr., or the Akron Blind Center, 325 E. Market St.
