Maudie Pearl (Duncan) Hamrick, 89, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her Mogadore home. Maudie was born September 1, 1924 in Greenville, TN to Robert Otto and Mary (Rader) Duncan.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gene; sisters, Bertie (Gammons) and Gertie; and brothers, Frank, Ray, Bob, Charlie, Paris, J.W. (June), Denver, and Fred. Maudie is survived by her sister, Leo (Lee) Caprez; brothers-in-law, Luther (Martha) Hamrick and James (Gladys) Hamrick; nieces, Ann (Glenn) Trowbridge, Sharon (Bobby) Tyler, Joyce (Ken) Kelly, Janice Weigan and Bonnie (John) McLafferty; and nephews, Thomas (Dawn) Hamrick, Philip (Susan) Hamrick, James Jr. (Leslie) Hamrick, and Mark Hamrick. Maudie leaves many other loving friends and relatives who will miss her and whose lives have been blessed by knowing her.
The family wishes to thank Maudie’s caregivers for the loving care they provided during the past two years: Beth Batt, Susan Bosch, Terry Goodridge, Cindy Scherer, Theresa Zeller, and the entire staff at Summa Hospice.
Friends and family may call Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Miller officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
