Mavis (Hazen) Scott

Mavis Hazen Scott, 90, passed away November 22, 2011.  She was born in Akron to the late Lloyd and Flossie (Goss) Hazen, and lived her life in the Akron area.  Mrs. Scott was a long time member of the Chapel and retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1986 with over 33 years service as an accountant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eugene F. Scott Jr., brother, Earl L. Hazen and sister, Aulta M. Lawton.  She is survived by daughter, Carol J. (Rick) Mullins; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Mullins, James (Sharon) Mullins, and Jodi (Tony) Donofrio; 6 great grandchildren; nieces, Joyce Hobbs and Linda Hoff; nephews, James, John, Thomas, and David Hazen.

The funeral service will be Monday, November 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Myron Lindsey officiating.  Interment Lakewood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 27, from 1 to 4 p.m.
