Melanie Kay Maloney

Melanie Kay Maloney, 70, passed away December 13, 2020. She was born in Akron to the late Darrell and Joyce (Monihan) Richards and was a Tallmadge High School graduate.

After high school, she graduated from Gerber Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser for several years, including at a senior citizens apartment complex. She also worked for 10 years at AVI and at Wendy’s.

Melanie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Edward; son, Daniel; one uncle in Indiana and another in West Virginia; and a host of cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
