Michael E. Boyes, 52, passed away on November 15, 2017. Born in Akron to Donald and Shirley (Benzien) Boyes, he was a lifelong area resident and worked in security for the Department of Human Services. Michael also worked as a manager for Goodwill Industries. He enjoyed anything pertaining to the Law and was very kind, always being there when any of us needed him. After a long battle he is finally at rest.
Preceded in death by niece, Misty Peterson; uncle and aunt, Gerald and Carol Foster, he will be sadly missed by siblings, David Boyes, Charlotte Pennington and Kevin Boyes; plus a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Per Michael's wishes, cremation has taken place. Those who wish may make donations in his name to Alcoholics Anonymous, 775 N. Main St., Akron OH 44310.
