Michael R. Holata, 62, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born in Cleveland and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelors Degree in Transportation and worked in the trucking industry for most of his life.
Mike was a devout fisherman, enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie and was a big Browns fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice; brother, Jeffrey; and sister, Yvonne. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Suzanne; daughters, Sandra (Don) and Stephanie (Troy); grandchildren, Stacey and Michael; father, Robert; sisters, Patricia (Don) and Rebecca; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for ONE HOUR prior to the service, from 1 - 2 p.m.
