Michael A. Quattrocchi, 64, passed away April 6, 2014. He was born in Cleveland and was a lifelong Akron resident where he worked for 25 years as a nursing assistant at Akron General Hospital. He was also a certified gemologist and owner of Something Special Fine Jewelry, which he operated with his wife at the Hartville Market, and was a member of the Jewelers Board of Trade.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Annabelle (Martin), he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol; sister, Hope (Jim); step-children Tamara and Michael; grandchildren, Zachary, Garon, Rachel and Monica; and great-grandson Trenton.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Michael Mancari officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
