Nancy L. (Keeling) Haren, 67, passed away June 30, 2011. She was born in Akron to the late Thurston and Lorraine (Fritz) Keeling and was a lifelong area resident. Nancy worked for many years at Brown Derby (Roadhouse), in the Copley-Fairlawn School District and most recently, at Target in Wadsworth. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and loved gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William (Gwen) Keeling; grandson, Brian Scott; sister-in-law, Lois Keeling; and many loving animals. She is survived by her children, Jaclyn K. Haren, Chris Snyder, Brian K. (Laura) Haren, Barbara (Michael) Huskey and Teresa (R.J.) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Edith) and Tom Keeling; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. James Talbert Sr. officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 5, from 5 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eckard Baldwin, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 in remembrance of Nancy.
