Nancy J. Prather

Nancy J. Prather, 90, passed away peacefully January 10, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in Palmyra Twp, OH to the late Wilbur and Mary (Aberegg) Denmire and was an Akron resident most of her life. She retired from the General Tire & Rubber Company (GenCorp) with 36 years of service and was a member of Barberton Bible Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sisters, Patricia Simmons, Barbara Peters and Shirley Hathaway; and brother, Wilbur “Bud” Denmire. She is survived by her children, Gary (Cheryl) Prather, Theresa (Kenneth) Abrams and Neil (Heather) Prather; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 10:15 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga, Rd., Seville, OH 44273 with Rev. Jeral Davis officiating.
