While in the company of her family, Jeannie's eyes finally looked into the face of the Prince of Peace, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 21, 2011. A strong polio survivor, Jeannie was a lifelong resident of Akron and a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church in Green.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Mary Edna Kirby, she will be dearly missed by her daughter, Nancy (Harvey); grandchildren, Jamie (James), Brandon (Shannon) and their unborn child and Tori (Kenny); great-grandchildren, Todd-Michael, Bridgitt, Brianna and Tristan; sister, Betty Elaine; niece, Joyce; good friend, Janet Bagwell; and the Kirby and Phillips families.
Memorial service to be announced at a later date.
