Norma R. Gohlke, 89, of Springfield Twp., passed away July 3, 2015 on the anniversary of her husband’s birthday.
Born in Akron to the late Joseph M. and Julia E. (Weaver) Wein, Mom was devoted to her husband and family. She was a renowned trapeze artist in her youth and was a founding member of The Akron Model T Club.
Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Franklin, and her sister, Pat Wein, Mom is survived by sons, Gary (Sharon), of Carson City, NV, Craig (Beth) of New Franklin, and Martin of Akron; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Shirley Ujhazy; many nieces and nephews; and her “auction family”.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 pm, with family friend Pastor John Phillips officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
