Orvel P. Harold

Orvel P. Harold, 82, passed away August 28, 2011.  He was born in Akron and lived most of his life in Tallmadge.  Mr. Harold was a US Army veteran serving in the 354th Engineering Co., and was a long time member of the Tallmadge First Church of God.  He worked 20 years for Summit County Maintence and 18 years at Motor Freight Express as a mechanic, and was a retired member of Teamsters Local 24.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie. He is survived by his daughters, Helena Goodrich and Guylene Harold (J.E. O’Shaughnessy); son, Edward L. (Patricia); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Kathrine and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jeffrey, Kendra, Kaylee, Maryn, Marley and Landri; and special nephew, James.

The funeral service will be Thursday, September 1, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St, with Pastor William C. Wimmer officiating.  Interment Hillside Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, from 6 - 8 p.m.
