Patty J. Kapper

Patty J. Kapper, 91, passed away peacefully June 21, 2026. She was born in Akron to the late Cecil “Eric” and Geraldine (Sutton) Dando and was a 1952 Coventry High School graduate. She retired from Nationwide Insurance with over 20 years of service and attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Dando and sister, Janet Blocksom. She is survived by her children, Paul (Julianne) Kapper and Pam (Cesar) Ochoa; grandchildren, Lauren (Sean) Zalesny, Christopher (Ashley) Ochoa and Crystal Ochoa; great-grandsons, Tyler and Carter Worth; and brother, Ronald (Lois) Dando.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 with Fr. RJ Johnson officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 12 – 1 p.m., with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
