Race D. Billings, 69, passed away August 7, 2023. He was born in Cleveland, attended Garfield High School and was a veteran of the US Army.
Race was a self-employed handyman, especially skilled as an electrician and plumber. He was a free spirit who loved fishing and singing and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Hart; siblings, Derek (Barbara) and Tina (Lee); daughters, Michelle and Monique Lute; grandchildren, Tisha (Tony), Sara, John, Sabrina, Ravyn, William, Sean, Ciara, Zaivon and Zaivar; 20+ great-grandchildren; and great-great-granddaughter and his pride and joy, Nai’ell “Bumble. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Billings; father, William (Audrey) Billings; daughter, Jessica Acree; brother, David; grandchildren, Lana Lute and Jeremy Butcher; and great-granddaughter, Jada Ruiz.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m.
