Raymond C. Bertram, 69, passed away peacefully June 24, 2017. He was born in Akron, was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Goodyear with over 25 years of service.
Raymond was a devoted family-man and loved his grandkids dearly. He had a life-long passion for auto racing, especially at Barberton Speedway. He grew up as a driver, enjoyed building and working on the cars, and passed on his knowledge to his son and grandson. He will be sadly missed.
Preceded in death by his mother, Eulemae, he is survived by his children, John (Richelle), Raymond Jr., James and Lori; grandchildren, Cyler, Kayli, Brittney, Corey, Bailey, Danielle and Paul; sister, Georgia Mae; brother, Gary (Wanda); and his beloved canine buddy, Chevy.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Calling hours will be for one hour prior to the service, from 12 – 1 p.m.
