Richard L. Hanley, 52, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 30, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth; brother, Robert; and infant brother, Denny. Richard is survived by his children, Richard L. Jr., Christine (James) Hardy, and Daniel (Ashley); siblings, Thomas (Mary), Susan (Michael) Tsavaris, and Gary (Margie); and grandchildren, Keira, Sophia, Isabela, and William.
He was born and raised in Akron. Among the things he enjoyed most were his truck and opportunities to visit the shooting range with his son, Daniel. A private person, he felt blessed to have spent his final years with his son and the family pit bull, Kilo – both of whom he appreciated and loved.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4 at 1 p.m. at Ontario City Cemetery, 3540 Park Ave. West, Ontario, OH 44906, with Pastor Michael Lehman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Richard’s children suggest donations be made to the Richard L. Hanley Memorial Fund at any US Bank location.
