Richard W. Pittenger, 57, went home on April 30, 2011. He was born in Akron to the late Russell J. and Esther M. (Moloder), was a lifelong resident and was a Hoban High School graduate.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Raelynn Jenks. He is survived by his daughters, Traci (Jeff) Jenks and Jennifer (Army Specialist David) Morgan; son, James Wofter; grandchildren, Darnell, Joseph, Alex and Ethan and Jeramiah, Destinee, Xavier and Temperance; sisters, Kathy (Joe) Ziruolo and Mary Munn-Bowen; and several loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011, at 7 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. James Tomlinson officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service, from 5 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 in honor of Richard.
