Robert D. Skidmore

Robert D. Skidmore, 83, passed away November 29, 2011. He was born in Clarksburg, WV to the late Cecil and Opal (Cutlip) and was an Akron resident for most of his life. He was a graduate of Springfield High School, was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Goodyear with many years of service. He was also an avid golfer and particularly enjoyed his winter trips to Florida.

Preceded in death by his wife, Anna and daughter-in-law, Kim, he is survived by his son, Ed and daughter, Patti Robertson; grandchildren, Daniel Robertson, Edwin II (Kim) and Timothy; great-grandson, Dylan; brother, Archie; and many loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 10 a.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 4, from 1 – 4 p.m.
