Robert A. Thom

Robert A. Thom, 81, went to be with the Lord October 2, 2018. He was born in Akron to the late Clarence Sr. and Catheryn Thom and was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Colonial Machine and was a long-time, active member of South Arlington United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon and brother, Clarence Jr. “Bud”. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jean; daughters, Vivian Hurte, Susan and Sharon Barnard; grandchildren, Adam (Brianna), Kara (Nick), Sarah (Wes) and Keli; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Ron Shultz officiating with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
