Robin L. "Rob" Chalman

Robin L. “Rob” Chalman, 64, passed away August 2, 2024. He was born in Akron and was a Springfield High School graduate.

Rob was a police officer for the Springfield Township Police Department and also worked security at Akron City Hospital. He was a member of Grace Church in Norton and was a 32nd degree Mason.

He is survived by Lisa, his loving wife of 20 yrs; children, Gabe Chalman, Josh (Tiffany) Chalman, Robbie (Gen) Custer, and Heather (Jeff) Dempsey; Nicole (Todd) Gentner, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and brothers, Robert “Bobby” and Randy (Margo) Booth. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Chalman Sr., mother, C. Ruth (Frank) Booth); and sister, Cherie “Sis” Falcone.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St.., Akron, OH 44305 with Pastor Dan Gregory officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service, from 5 – 7 p.m. Private burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
