Ruth M. Lee, born September 17, 1917, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the age of 101.

Ruth was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, and retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1974 after 30 years of service.  She was a member of Goodyear’s Blue and Gold Club and a lifetime member of the Sons & Daughters of Herman, Bertha Lodge #3.

Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel, and son-in-law, David.  She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Forshey, of Uniontown; granddaughter, Tammy Forshey (Shaun), of Canal Fulton; grandson, Daniel (Michelle) Forshey; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler and Anthony Forshey and Hailey and Carl Parcell; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Our thanks to Summit Adult Day Services for the excellent care she received and for all the wonderful times Ruth had while visiting.

Calling hours will be from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron.  The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Burkhardt officiating.  Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
