Sandra "Sandy" R. Morgan

Sandy R. Morgan, 88, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was born in Akron March 18, 1938 to the late Thomas and Edna (Allman) Clay and was a lifelong resident. She was a 50-year member of the Akron Blind School, where she loved to volunteer and was a long-time bead teacher. She also loved to do arts and crafts.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth, and brother, George. She leaves behind her children, Alice (John), Terry (Penny), Candy (Mark), Linda (Roy), Billy, and Harry (Angie); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; best friend Barb; and many other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305, with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m., with burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Akron Blind Center, 325 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44304.
