Shirley V. Fielders

Shirley V. Fielders, 89, passed away November 12, 2024. She was born in Akron to the late Havlock and Eliza (Sheffield) Hollar and retired from Adjusta-Post with over 20 years of service.

Shirley was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 8975 as well as the Airport Post, and was a social member of the Akron Club of the Deaf. She was passionate about volunteer work, especially at Edwin Shaw Hospital and the Edwin Shaw rehabilitation golf course. She was a genuine woman for others and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; children Sherry, Yvonne and Ricky; grandson, Robert; and brother, Barney (Delores) Hollar. She is survived by her children, Louise (Kevin) Linder-Hall, Ralph (Sandy) Fielders and Donald Fielders; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 12 noon – 1 pm, with burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
