On May 5, 2025, while surrounded by family, Shirley A. Riemenschneider rested into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 81. Born September 11,1943 to George W. and Esther (Horner) Riemenschneider, she was a lifelong resident of Randolph township. She was a proud graduate of Randolph High School in 1961 and Bohecker’s Business College.
She was a busy mom raising six children while working, with over 30 years of service to Wise Chevrolet in Randolph. She was a major player during their transition period to Sarchione Chevrolet. She retired from Sarchione’s in 2016, but continued to work until present, part-time at Domino’s Pizza in Ravenna. She enjoyed many years there and this was a big part of her social life.
For over 50 years, she served people in the community with her tax preparation business. She had just finished the 2024 tax season before falling ill. She enjoyed the social interaction with her long-time tax clients. Shirley was also an Avon Representative for over 30 years. Her true passion for service was for her life-long church, the Randolph Methodist Church. She gave her heart and soul to the church in so many roles. Her love for her Heavenly Father was evident through the love for her church.
Shirley will be truly missed by her children, Christine (Mike) Kovacich, Janet Carnahan (Fred), Lisa Wise, Lolita (Buck) Lesher and Billy Carnahan (Sandy) and twin brother, Sherman (Rama) and brother Don (Pat). She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren to cherish memories with her. She has many nieces and nephews she loved.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband RJ, daughter Lori, brother Victor and grandson, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service, Derek Wyatt. She was so very proud of the young man he had become.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 PM on Saturday, May 17 at the Randolph Global Methodist Church, 4078 Waterloo Road in Randolph, OH. In lieu of flowers, there will be a box at the service for donations to be used for a special memorial project that was dear to her heart at the church. The internment will be later.
A special thank you to the Randolph Fire Department and the ICU staff at University Hospital Geauga campus.
