Shirley L. Weekley, 71, passed away December 29, 2017. She was born in Clarktown, TN to the late Luther and Julia (Guinn) Roberts and has been an Akron resident since 1953.
Shirley enjoyed working in the kitchen at Brownie’s and Steinley’s restaurants, and loved playing games, especially Yahtzee and word puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Homer, Gene and Howard. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis; children, Lorrie and Jason; grandchildren, John, Mike, Kyle, Jason and Emilee; great-grandchildren, Willow, Luna, Melanie and Jonah; sisters, Mamie, Betty, Polly, Judy and Nancy; brother, Alfred; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St.
