Suzette E. Adams, 69, passed away March 1, 2025. She was born in Akron to the late Randall and Catherine (Stasiak) Minter, was a Central Hower High School graduate, and retired from the City of Akron.
Suzette was a long-time active member of Hope Baptist Church of Akron (formerly Brown Street Baptist Church), where she was involved in many activities including Bible studies. She was incredibly proud of her son Jack, and was known for her kindness and always putting others first. She remembered everyone’s birthday and made sure to send a card, and she was proud of her relationship with God. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Minter; sisters, Cindy Clotfelter and Judy Gibson; and former husband, Dean Adams. She is survived by her son, Jack Adams; grandchildren, Jaclyn, Colin, Violet and Dominic; sister, Patricia (Frank) Seiler; nieces and nephews, Christopher and Eric Seiler, April and Sam Gibson, and little Timmy; and many other loving church family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Hope Baptist Church of Akron, 1822 Highview Ave., Akron, OH 44301. The memorial service will be held at church Tuesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Kuhns and Pastor Zac Singletary officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service with burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m.
