Theodore M. Galanis

Theodore M. Galanis, 94, passed away December 21, 2024. He was born in Akron to the late Anthony and Lillian Galanis and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Goodyear with 22 years of service and was also a cook at Duffy’s for 15 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth; son, Theodore, Jr.; and sisters, Lois, Joann, Dorothy, Kathleen and Virginia. He is survived by his son, Paul; grandchildren, Josh, Kayla, Lisa, Kelly and Craig; great-grandchildren, Arlo, Lily, Alex, Madi, Landon, Hadley and Camden; and daughter-in-law, Terry. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305, with Pastor Edward Bartter officiating.  Burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
