Thomas G. Baugher

Thomas G. Baugher, 72, passed away August 9, 2024. He was born in Akron to the late Charles and Jean (Wells) Baugher and was a Springfield High School graduate. He worked for AMHA for over 30 years and attended St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church.

Tom was passionate about family, his country, and was an active member in CABBS. He was a master craftsman building homes, boats, and so much more. He loved being on the water and was a skilled sailor and water skier. But more than anything, Tom was the most kind and selfless person anyone could meet. He would drop everything and help someone in need - anytime, anywhere. He always put the needs of others before his own and he will be deeply missed.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Tara Baugher and brother, Rick (Jo) Baugher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carla; brother, Rob Baugher; and sister, Susan Howard.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 with Pastor Bruce Roth officiating. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, with private burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
