Thomas R. Hollin

Thomas R. Hollin, 69, passed away July 23, 2021. He was born in Akron to the late Arnold (Ray) and Marciel (Springston) Hollin, was a Lake High School graduate and retired from the City of Akron Water Treatment Department with nearly 30 years of service.

Thomas grew up roller skating at both Playland and Springfield where his father was an instructor and coach, and entered many competitions as did his brother, John. He was an avid fisherman, a loving father, and a loyal friend.

He is survived by his son, Thomas J. (Meghan) Hollin, brother John Hollin, and many dear friends.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 12 – 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnels to Towers.
