Thomas Henry Plickert, 79, passed away February 12, 2026. He was born in Euclid, OH to the late Henry and Stella (Andrulis) Plickert and was a 1964 graduate of Euclid High School. He went on to earn a BA in Business Management-Accounting from Bowling Green State University and was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard.
On August 26,1967, Tom married his high-school sweetheart, Nancy Lee (nee Matejkowski). Tom and Nancy recently celebrated 58 years of marriage, and their union was an example and foundation for family value. Their adoration for each other was their strength. Children, grandchildren and those close to them are grateful for the love and guidance Tom and Nancy provided through the years.
Tom worked as a certified public accountant, as well as the finance manager at several Lake County car dealerships. He was an avid bowler and golfer and served as league secretary in many of them. More than anything, Tom was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was always there for any event they were participating in, and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; children, Scott (Tami) Plickert, Jeffrey (Becky) Plickert, Kelly (Russ) Eckard and Michael (Christie) Plickert; grandchildren, Bonnie (Matt), Aurora, Jaden (Matthew) Burkhardt, Natalie (Riley), McKenna, Luke, Rachel and Ella; sister, Donna (Tom) Dietz; sister-in-law, Julie Plickert; and many other loving relatives.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
