Victoria L. Chepeus, born July 19, 1948, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Phillip and Lillian (Maciak) Flygal, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 76. Victoria was a dedicated hairdresser who worked for Matrix Essentials for over 25 years. Throughout her life, she faced numerous challenges, including prolonged battles with leiomyosarcoma and diabetes, all while raising two daughters on her own. Her strong-willed and determined nature enabled her to witness her daughters grow into strong, independent women and to enjoy the births and upbringing of her two beautiful grandchildren. Despite her many trials and tribulations, Victoria's love for her family and friends was as steadfast as her affection for animals and Kelleys Island. She will always be remembered for her strength, independence, fighting spirit, and her role as a loving mother and friend. Victoria will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis (Peter) Shellko. She is survived by her daughters, Monica Chepeus and Kimberly (John) Reiter; her grandchildren, Jacob and Emma; and her nieces, Lisa and Kelly Shellko. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10- 11:00 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. A memorial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joe Burkhardt officiating.
