Violet Mae Barden, 92, passed away January 7, 2014. She was born in Chicago, IL the only child of Martha Macdonald and Arthur Valentine Boyce. Vi graduated from Chicago Teachers College and taught in Chicago and Akron.
She married William Barden in 1945, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Alan, Nancy (Dennis) Cron and Bruce; grandsons, Chad (Robyn) and Todd (Melissa) Cron and Shawn Barden and his mother, Linda; and great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Claire, Liam, Mychal, Taylor and Tyce.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Firestone Park Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
