Virginia R. Hanna, 87, passed away October 11, 2012. She was born in Akron to the late Gerald and Jennie Hanna and was a Garfield High School Graduate.
She lived much of her adult life in New Jersey and upstate New York, where she was a restauranteur. She was also crowned Mrs. New Jersey and competed in the Mrs. America pageant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Corky Billias and brother, Gerald Hanna. She is survived by her children, Michael (Sandy) Soful, Timothy Billias, Kathy Wheatley, Ginny Lynn Mattling and Nancy Couse; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
