Virginia M. Smiley, 89, of Stow passed away March 23, 2011 at Hospice VNS. She was born October 9, 1921, in Seebert, WV to Winters and Retta (Gladwell) Miller. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Harper in 1959, and second husband, Earl Smiley in 1995; siblings, W. Alfred, Harriet Lou, Billy, Marilyn and Anita.
Virginia is survived by her brother, Jack (Betty) Miller of Fairmont, WV; children, Henry (Nettie) Harper of Keller, TX, Alfred (Karen) Harper of Stow, and Mary Harper, of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, James (Carrie), David, Allen and Jamie. She will be sadly missed by many friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Drive, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, with Pastor Ross Slaughter officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the United Presbyterian Church or Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333.
